Supercapacitors are also called ultracapacitors, double-layer capacitors, electro-chemical double layer (EDLCs) and pseudocapacitors.  Whatever you call them, Illinois Capacitor likely has what you need.  Most supercaps look pretty much like ordinary electrolytics, but don't let that fool you.  Their storage capacity is incredible, currently up to 3,000 Farads.  This is a real game changer for many engineers.  Now you can use a supercap to extend the life of or even replace a battery.  For energy harvesting, one supercap can do the work of many conventional electrolytics.
